A large number of women (and some men) are living with the after-effects of either the diagnosis of or treatment for breast cancer. The physical and psychological morbidities associated with treatment have long-term impacts on role functioning at work and at home.
This module highlights the supportive care that can aid in the management of a range of problems that are experienced after a diagnosis of breast cancer.
- Identify and manage unmet supportive care needs of breast cancer patients, to maximise quality of life and minimise breast cancer recurrence
- Gain insights into treatment strategies, and possible side-effects and preventative measures
- Identify fear of cancer recurrence, and has a multidisciplinary approach to management
