Best Practice Asthma and Respiratory WorkshopsDescription
Since 2002, the National Asthma Council Australia has successfully delivered the Asthma Best Practice for Health Professionals Program.
This national program provides evidence based, best practice asthma and linked chronic respiratory conditions education, to primary healthcare professionals. Workshops and webinars are the most appropriate model for providing direct education to primary healthcare professionals on managing asthma and linked respiratory conditions.
Our current program is funded from 2021 - 2023 as part of the Department of Health’s Public Health and Chronic Disease Program.
Please refer to the individual workshops for details.
Format: Two training formats are available - a live webinar series and face-to-face workshops.
Workshops and webinars are run as single stand-alone sessions, held in conjunction with a host organisation and are available across Australia, reflecting our commitment to reach urban, regional and remote health professionals. Workshops and webinars are presented by members of the National Asthma Council Australia's team of experts, which include GPs, asthma and respiratory educators, practice nurses and respiratory scientists. All presentation material is provided by the NAC to ensure the information is consistent, complete and up-to-date.
Accreditation: Some workshops are recognised by the RACGP and ACRRM as CPD activities.
About the Author: The program material is developed by National Asthma Council Australia’s team of experts. All material is based on the Australian Asthma Handbook.
