This e-learning module creates an awareness and understanding of the role General Practitioners have in realising the health benefits of work. It highlights the evidence supporting the health benefits of work and the GP’s role in realising these benefits.

Learning Outcomes

  1. Identify the key messages related to the health benefits of safe work and how this can be applied to certification practices
  2. Identify the significant influence GPs have in supporting injured workers to return to work
  3. Demonstrate use of the assessment tools and resources to utilise when certifying for capacity
  4. Certify capacity based on assessed functional capacity and medically necessary factors
