The Canberra Health Annual Research Meeting (CHARM) is the premier conference for the communication and translation of health related research practice in the ACT.

The meeting explores challenges, opportunities and discoveries in health and medical research in the region and provides an opportunity for showcasing research, networking, collaboration and capacity building for researchers and clinicians in the ACT and beyond.

CHARM is an annual event held in collaboration with ACT Health, Heart Foundation ACT, University of Canberra, University of New South Wales Canberra, Australian Catholic University, Australian Institute of Sport and The Australian National University.

CHARM 2018 will include a program of events that focus on heart health research and chronic conditions management.

Key topics include:

  • Chronic conditions management tools and practice and policies including personalised medicine
  • Health benefits of wearable and implantable technology
  • The value of data analytics and complex systems in health care
  • Heart health research
