Associate Professor Carolyn Ellaway is a Senior Staff Specialist with the Genetic Metabolic Disorders Services at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick and the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, in Sydney Australia and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Sydney. After completing her medical degree at the University of Melbourne, Carolyn completed speciality training in Paediatrics and sub-speciality training in Clinical and Biochemical Genetics. In addition Carolyn was awarded a PhD, by the University of Sydney. Carolyn’s publication record includes 66 papers published in peer review journals and 4 book chapters.

Carolyn’s clinical responsibilities include caring for children with a range of genetic metabolic disorders including lysosomal storage disorders as part of a multidisciplinary management team at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, the NSW Centre of Excellence for treatment with enzyme replacement therapy.
